OKAY! SO THIS IS TOTALLY NOT A COMIC, SORRY!! I just finished finals this week and I've been taking a mini-break. Except the next page really soon. All of my foreign friends are going back home in the next few days and I want to spend time with them.
LAST NIGHT! I met a group of four american girls (here in Osaka, Japan) at a bar I go to. Two of them were fans of Heard, as it turns out-- imagine MY surprise!! we were chatting and having a good time but Two of the girls (one fan, one non-fan) got incredibly drunk. Like, falling over drunk.
I helped the girls (Along with two japanese friends, Yamada and Miki) into a karaoke place so they could lay down and sober up. I got soaked to the bone, but the bar opened up champagne for us when we got back.
SOPHIE: ARE THOSE TWO OKAY?!?! D:
Sophie, Samantha, let's go out drinking together again!! >:C As for YOU guys-- Sara(h?), Lucia(?? spelling), YOU'RE BOTH GROUNDED FOR NOT KNOWING YOUR LIMITS.
Haha!! That's a troll. A fake who wasn't there, because their comment makes no sense. I was going to delete this to prevent a flame war, but FLAME ON! My first hate-comment! I'm too pleased to delete it.
Also I still wanna hear from the real Sophie. Those girls got scary-drunk last night.
(Troll: I don't know who you are, but I have a few guesses. You can go ahead and tell me, though. I'm so curious!)
blinky-sama...you're the first person i've ever heard to be pleased to get a hate comment xD.
and i'm surprised that's the first after all those pages! that must be a huge confidence boost if ya ask me!
Congrats, that troll is horrible. I find guest trollers to be such cowards. Oh well.
Thats so coool you live in Japan, I'm getting out of the states ma self once I finish college.
Sophie - Thanks for getting in touch with me! I missed you on MSN but got your messages. I'll be able to sleep tonight, knowing that you guys are all alive, even if a little worse for wear. I don't blame you guys for being exhausted and wanting to crash after that. I was quite tired myself, but ended up staying out until 9 in the morning.. partying. Haha. It was tough but a good memory in retrospect.
Aaaand you're welcome. I couldn't let you and Sam deal with that alone. And sure, let's meet again sometime and have some fun that doesn't end in puking, haha!!
Lucia - Haha!!! Well, given that you seem pretty sincere about it all, I forgive ya. Also, the thought of you doing a walk of shame through umeda while barefoot is pretty entertaining. Sorry you ended up getting so miserable, but take it a bit slower next time, yeah? Haha. KIDS THESE DAYS~!! (As if I'm so much older, haha!). Don't worry about a thing, I'll pass your apologies along to Yamada and Miki. As for penance? Hmm.. in the US my penance is always making someone the designated driver, but I dunno what I could make you do here in Japan!! I'll try to think of something..
Ashley - Haha, I know, right? I really want to commemorate it somehow. I think printing it out and framing it is a pretty good idea, though! I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK, MA'AM.
Appletree - Everyone needs to get their hate comments someday. I'm sure I'll be seeing plenty more from here on out. I'm fairly sure the commenter is someone with a personal grudge against me-- not just a random reader who hates my comic-- so I'll be looking forward to my first flame from someone who DOESN'T harbor a personal grudge.
Tedmo - Haha. I think the very nature of trolling makes it pretty pathetic. I don't mind people voicing complaints about my work in an intelligent fashion, but that's called a critique instead of a flame, haha! and yeah. Living here is pretty fun. I won't be here for too much longer.
Wahaha, troller. It's so funny when I get flames when I write fanfiction... so I tend to never erase those, either. XD And I like the idea of framing flames. I just usually print them out and burn them. Then they're REALLY flame-y.
Wow stories like this make me glad I don't drink. Glad everyone ended up okay. Also, LOL @ troll. how sad.
As a fan of Heard and a reader of LJ's Daily Yuri, I hope you'll post a teaser page there sometime--I think you'd find a whole crowd of additional fans there!
(My apologies if you've already done so--but I didn't spot Heard in a quick scan of Daily Yuri's master list of posts.)
Pokemon? - Flames are the best! I guess it would suck if I got nothing BUT flames, but they're a nice change from the comments from normal people, haha.
Joyling - I know! I don't drink a whole lot, I don't often get drunk, but stuff like this happens WAY too easily! And yeah, hee hee, silly troll!
Sarausa - I read LJ's Daily Yuri too! Heard was actually posted some time last year, with a bunch of other comics, in the "Webcomic" posts. I dunno if it would be okay to post again (on it's own), but maybe I'll ask and see?
iiguana - Isn't it? The world isn't just small, it is TINY.
Lucia - Oh, really? Well, I have the phone number/email of Yunpyo, that one bartender with long hair. If you want, I can email her to ask about the forgotten stuff. But either way, going to apologize may be a good idea, haha! I don't think people were really mad, but it did cause a lot of chaos. As tempting as it is to see you walk through Umeda with just one shoe, I'm not sadistic enough to let you do that! Don't worry about making it up to me-- all I ask is that, if I meet you girls again, you get all prettied up and let me take a picture so I can brag about how cute my readers are.
.. Do you remember when your hair caught fire?? You were pretty drunk by then.
'Lo all. I don't normaly reply to comics, but I just wanted to say how cool it was to see the maker not only calling out real fans, but responding to every single other comment. Hats off to you. =p
That would be so cool to meet comic fans in real life. Well I mean ... my friends read it but it's not the same XD
Guess I'll have to wait to see you at AWA! :) (and fangirl over your comic some more irl *g*)
Followup on the daily_yuri suggestion--
Since you're the creator, I think there shouldn't be a problem with posting a broader sampling of the story. Others have posted their own work, as I recall.
Of course, checking in with the mods can't hurt!
