Man, sorry for the long delay, guys. I had midterms right after I came back from Tokyo, so I was really busy. On top of that, I really needed some time to think.

I've been putting off updating for a while because I have a feeling that I'm about to lose a lot of fans, but after a lot of debate, I decided to follow my vision, regardless of whether or not my fans will stick around.

You can probably guess from the cover that Heard's going in a different direction than most of you guessed. I've been leading up to this the whole time-- it'll be clear once we get to the end of the chapter, so you guys will understand.

If you wondered why I never drew "couple art" of Romy and any of the girls.. well, it should make sense NOW, right?

Now, I know a lot of you are wondering WHY I would throw in a plot-twist like this?? Well, actually, when I was planning HEARD.. I was thinking about how there's a lot of comics about people realizing that they're gay.. but not a lot of comics about gay people realizing that they're actually straight. Some readers might find that offensive but it's actually true that a lot of people think that they're gay but actually realize that it was just teenage hormones, you know? And then they grow out of it. I figured maybe Romy was getting a little old, so is Vlad.

So, although I know some of you may feel betrayed, please keep reading and try to see where I'm coming from.

Anyway, please feel free to post your thoughts on the new direction. You can tell me if you don't plan on reading anymore, I won't take personal offense.

There have been so many webcomic updates today saying 'THE END' or 'ART CHANGE!' or 'THIS IS HOW ITS GONNA BE NOW' that I'm kinda thinking this is possibly not true...?
If it is, I'll keep an open mind.
But, judging by the date, I'm going to assume April Fools.

To the end~! I've been reading this comic for awhile, and even though I've never commented have this to say:
If this is some sort of april fools joke, good one. xD
And if not, and this is honestly where the comic is going, then I shall continue to read on anyway. I love the comic and will follow it to the ends of the earth. Or well... at least to the end of the series. XD

There was a lot of different turns this story could have taken which is what kept me reading when I first discoverd it. I was thinking right onto how Romy could end up with the chick in dots or how Vlad and Elliot wetn seperate ways, etc, etc. Honestly, no, I didn't suspect this at all, but I think it's a very unique and wonderful idea that can truely hit all the real aspects of teen life and growing up.
No matter the outcome, or whether this is a joke or whatever, I'm going to keep reading. You're a very talented story teller and artist so I'll keep on the watch and see just exactly what path this story leads. ^^

You're still advertising Heard as a GL comic, and you wouldn't pull a bait and switch on us (would you?), so I'm calling... APRIL FOOLS.

On the fence here... Well, like most of the commenters have said already, if this is indeed an April Fool's joke, then it was a very good one.

If not, then I may still read it, because I love your art style and your storytelling. But maybe not, depending on where the chapter goes. Though, I will admit that I'm be a bit disappointed, for a few reasons. (Not to mention, I was/am a total Vlad/Elliot 'shipper!) Even so, it's an interesting twist - not one you find in many "gay" comics.

Kudos, though, on sticking with your vision, regardless of what the peanut gallery says! That's not something you see often in storytellers.

Aaw, this seems like a really cute twist! Never expected this one, hehe.

Hmm, well, it's interesting, but I hope it won't be a "it's just a faze" type of story. But I do realize how some go through the experimental areas and even doing it as a fad. Though I didn't take Romy as a character like that...ah well. I'll see how this goes.

And if it IS a joke, then cool. I think it's nice seeing well-written girl-love stories, especially since this site is FILLED with yaoi and I'm getting, well, tired of it.
